The juice is definitely worth the squeeze
I will update this as the day, week and year roles along. I went for a walk today to clear my head. I went to Olbrich Gardens. As I stood there on the bridge, looking both ways up and down the river, I observed a young male mallard, and following in his wake was a young female. I can not express how this simple vision struck my heart and soul. I realized that in all of nature men are suppose to make the way clear for the woman in their life. We are suppose to keep her safe, make the way easier, and present her at her full beauty when the destination is reached. I watched them pass. Then I observed another young male mallard coming from the other way, and following in his wake was no one. I felt like someone smashed me in the head, and in the heart, as I realized that is exactly how I feel right now. I feel like a lone duck swimming down the cold river, in the opposite direction from where almost everyone else is headed, and I am alone. .....
Now it must be accounted that in a few minutes he had reached others of his kind, and he mingled among them. That is what I must do. I must find others like me, and mingle among them, and learn from them. It must also be said, that in a few minutes more another female and male mallard passed under the bridge, and this time it was she who was leading the way, as he followed in her wake. In all of nature, as in life, there must be balance, an exchange of strength and knowledge, and give and take. As people in relationship we must allow others to be exactly who and what they are, so that both may benefit. ....
