My military bearing is improving.
I know this because I got written up today for something incredibly stupid (reading a book on my lunch break at work - wtf? And to make it better, I wasn't even reading it, it was just sitting on my desk like 2 feet away from me).
This idiot Army major who runs my work center demanded that I be written up for it.. luckily, my Chief likes me and knows I'm not a shitbag, so he told me not to worry about it and said, "Hey, I'm the one writing your evals, right?" He also called the major an idiot.
Anyway.. I was proud of myself, because throughout the entire 10 minutes lecture, I looked him in the eye and refused to let him see how upset I was. I smiled and conversed in a pleasant manner, all the while telling him that I disagree. I very politely refused to sign the counseling form.
I'm getting better at this "NCO" bullshit.
