I have decided to update this journal on a kinda regular basis. I've never had a diary before but I thought instead of just reading lots of journals on this site and looking at girls I'd actually add to it myself.
I can't believe it was April when I last posted. My comic and website aren't even finished yet. They have been postponed while I moved house. I have my own place now and I love it. I have a double bed that folds up into the wall!!! There's also lots of room for my many, many, many toys.
So what's been happening? Well I work at this place in Manchester called Urbis. It's mostly about the city and urban culture but we also have a gallery level. Currently there's an exhibition about punk (mainly Sex Pistols stuff) and next month we've Mick Rock's solo show. He took loads of famous iconic images of rock stars. Iggy Pop on the Raw Power cover (one of my favourite covers ever), Bowie, Blondie, Queen etc. Anyway, all that's on the Urbis website. The point is I was at work today and browsing the internet (because my job's ridiculously easy) looking at Drawing Board (which is a great site for illustrators and comic book artists like me) and I was reading all about this guy called Rob Leifeld who must be one of the cheesiest, lame, rip-off merchant artists ever. I present Captain America's impressive rack and say no more about it.
For anyone interested in the exact thread click here. It amused me no end today and if I ever feel like I can't draw and want to stab my pencils into my hands and eyes for punishment I'll think of Rob.
Cadwell.
