ADVANCE WARNING: No pictures!!!
I've been to see Terry Gilliam's new film 'Tideland' tonight. I also had the oppurtunity to ask him a question after the screening. It was about a supposed lack of malice. That won't make sense untill you see the film. I would heartily recommend you go and see the film when it's released on Friday. I would even urge people that I don't think will enjoy it to go see it because it is so opinion dividing I think everyone with an interest in contempory cinema should watch it at least twice. It is the first film since Mullholland Drive that has engaged my mind so much after seeing it and been the topic of such heated and diverse debate. It also has Jennifer Tilly in it as a trailer trash junkie mom. 'Nuff said.
Also, after the screening Mr. Gilliam joined us in the cinema bar afterwards for a drink or two. I was shocked. I didn't get to chat to him more though as he was assaulted by buttlickers, mostly wierd-haired women, burying him in praise for his latest masterpiece. It felt really odd to be in such a familiar and oft-frequented place and be facing Terry Gilliam.
The wierdest things always happen on a Tuesday.

Jennifer Tilly is awesome. It sounds interesting: is it as confusing as Mullholland drive?
