This Halloween marked my 10th in my beloved spooky all year round home. I wanted a slightly more elevated gathering and a lot less stress especially for what I put on myself. We set a theme of Monster Masquerade, hoping for ghoulish on top and classy attire below. For the most part my guests participated kindly. The trick r treaters and their families braved the chilly rain and complimented the outdoor decor, my guests brought snacks to share and it was quiet and low key.
It was really nice to have my mom in attendance, it's our first Halloween without dad and I think we both needed the time together.
The florist I use for work surprised me with a gift bouquet delivery as well and I may have had a lot of happy tears
While mom was in town we planned to get her memorial tattoo (her own version of what I had gotten earlier in the month) and she was going to be my booth buddy for vending at a burlesque show. The tattoo got delayed to today, but it turned out absolutely beautiful. We set up for the show in a stunning old Masonic hall at about 5:30 yesterday, doors at 7:30 show started at 9 and wrapped up around 12:30 am. Decent sales, incredible show, but holy cow it sucked to load everything in and out of the 2 huge flights of stairs....bathbombs can get heavy. But one of the other vendors had a delightful kitty at their booth.
