SeeI was lucky enough to get to be a part of Atomic Threads's float in this year's parade. We had initially thought of tying me to the Lyra in a really intricate web, but time for planning got away from all of us so we settled in a simple chest hardness with my silver and purple rope, which also acted as my safety harness to be tied to the float. I have no training in aerial or on the Lyra, I've never wanted to be a performed (other than silly little goth circus dreams) and I was nervous as hell about being in a skimpy outfit on a float in front of thousands of people, but what can I say, I had way too much fun spinning and swinging and waving. Getting to support my favorite boutique, the home of my burlesque group and my dungeon Haus, and some of my favorite people on the planet. The cheers and waves and excitement were so fun!
I got to be an absolute goof ball
I'm so proud of the person I've become and allowed myself to show in this last year.
