Still waiting to hear from the schedulers for the hip scope thing. Switched back to my Tuesday through Saturday schedule. It's really nice to have a week day off to craft for halloween or rest, and Saturdays have been so quiet at work I can get a lot of schoolwork done, or help my only other coworker/friend who works saturdays regularly. He is also currently my hero, not only did he host a little mini Oktoberfedt with our coworkers (we are already always around each other so if one of us was exposed, all of us would have been), he also let me come take a shower at his house while the bathroom is still torn apart for renovations.
Weird thought as I was showering in his house and he's just sitting out in the next room watching tv: it's weird to see yourself naked in someone else's mirror.
They're almost done with the porch, I'm getting custom welded metal railing for the porch. I'm excited to get that all done. Finally started a bit on the plumbing today and the contractor brought me up a piece of pipe he had to saw out that was wrapped in newspaper. After careful peeling, we found that it was from the Spokane Daily Chronicle from September 1913 (the house was built in 1909)!
I'm really excited for it all to be done
I also managed to get my Halloween or "Spooky Season " offerings done, wrapped and listed on my shop's Instagram (@asyouliket) and etsy pages (Asyouliket.etsy.com) before October! Pretty stoked on that. I will also start vending for the last few weeks of the market starting next monday. All the stuff in the shop will be available in person. Hooray!
Saturday was also a dog Keena's 5th birthday and I got her a new bed!
Trying to stay positive. Trying not to lean too heavily on retail therapy (but I'll totally take presents ;) ) and trying to stay busy
The world is weird and I hope you are all staying safe and same and taking care of yourselvea.
Back to school work I go!
