I have to say....that my job leads me to some very fascinating places...but the ultra old school catholic church that I had to drive the hearse to (across the state line I may add) that required women to cover their heads, was a whole new experience. While I'm not religious I tend to understand the need for the bible readings and the religious ceremonies for funerals, as a comfort. But considering the funeral director was female and then me (being far more on top of it than the director )...it was a bit frustrating to be nearly ignored for our input (they kept trying to defer to the gentleman with us). The church was gorgeous...but seemed very...behind the times and a touch misognistic (for having statues of Mary everywhere). I couldn't help but take a photo in my oh-so-generously provided headwear. I Took photos during the service (all done in Latin) but it seems in minoru poor taste to post those. I just like them for my personal memories.
In other news, the donut shop down the street reopened, its about a 15 minute walk and they've extended their business hours.....soooooo....
It's all about balance.
Working on a project for one of my funeral directors too, that I've been posting on my Instagram story as it unfolds .
Time to get back to the deep spring cleaning! But I'll leave you with these
