Probably same me. Probably. Maybe a little more active buuuuuuttttt I'm not going to put that pressure on myself! Haha.
I hope you all had wonderful holidays and the new year is starting off gently for you. I ended up having to tell my work I couldn't handle the shifts alone in the crematory, where absolutely no one was in the funeral home, not because I was spooked out (c'mon have you met me?) but because the being alone with the ear splitting noise, the sitting and waiting, it caused me serious depression and I felt I wasn't actually helping the families in our care. Maybe if I would have had someone to talk to it would have been easier, but I've decided to just be an attendant, unless they desperately need me to fill in (preferably when there are people in the funeral home). My boss was very understanding which was a huge relief.
Here's a dump of my holiday goodness
As always the pets made out ridiculously well with gifts, better than the humans typically. I did get a fancy new deep fryer and an ancestry DNA kit (which has been sent in, we will see if the family stories of heritage match up). The day after Christmas, my mother and Corey's cousin showed up to spend a few days with us, Corey's cousin to scout out Spokane with the hopes of finding a job and moving here, my mother to be treated to a fancy spa day for her birthday on the 27th. The only pictures she and I got together we had drinks in our hands (because what is a good spa day without being tooootttttallllly relaxed (read: blitzed) ?) I also used it as an excuse to pamper myself a little
I even took her to get the tattoo she has been contemplating for a few years and it turned out beautifully. Can't wait to see it healed!
Then suddenly on the 29th....the house was empty of guests. The decorations are down and I have puppy fever after spending new years day at my mailman's house (we have a great friendship with him and his wife and kiddos) and their new puppy they got down the road from us. So to resist...I will spoil the shit out of the pets I have. Also broke down and bought myself a rum that I had really missed and these fancy ass glasses
Aaaaand I broke one already. Shit.
Alsoooooo if you've been thinking about buying bathbombs from me about half of the shop goes on a half off sale tomorrow (January 7th) through February 6th. Trying to clear out some space and gather ideas for the next run. I gifted a friend her requested flavor (we called it NO MSG), she wanted to feel like she was bathing in Chinese takeout (ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic and green onion) and she loved them...so maybe food inspired is next? We will see. I wanted to clear room before I made anything new.
I want to know what everyone's favorite gift (whether you received or gave it) was! Telllll meeeeee. Heading over to Seattle this coming weekend for my first niece's 2nd birthday (and to cuddle my adorable 2nd niece)
