I has them.
But really...I don't know what I'd do without Astrid's cuddles. He has a way of making bad days bearable.
Sorry I really haven't posted much, things have been hectic...again. I guess that's to be expected with the holiday season.
Just a quick flashback, since it is Friday. Halloween marked my 5th on this site and the 4th anniversary of my first ever set in MR on here.
who remembers this awful thing!?! I have slowly been making progress with better sets, better photographers and better responses...but that little line under my name on my profile "Hopeful since 2009" makes me twitch a little bit. I don't want to give up, but I also don't want to do typical bed sets. I want to show you guys photos that represent me..and I guess if I never go pink because of that...at least I have photos I like right? Well, I need to step up my workout game and rebuild my confidence and plan more shoots!
I'm not sure where the rest of this month has gone. It feels like days have been dragging on but they are still escaping me. Sunday I went down to Portland with my dad and my coworker Rainbow to work on a datacenter we knew nothing about. We were pretty much unprepared and brought as much equipment as we could squeeze into the van along with ourselves. We had a hotel for one night, got a little rest and went to the site...which was part of what used to be a slaughterhouse and hadn't been cleaned since '95. We had our work cut out for us and it exhausted us. We worked 9pm to 5:30 am, went to the hotel, slept til 2 and had to be out of the hotel...and waste time until we were on site again at 8pm. We went to lunch at a place I had gone with @hemi_, who was trying to come meet us, but traffic sucked. We ended up taking a nap in the damn work van to kill time and prepare for the last night of the site. And it won't be the end of that site...we have to go back to finish because we just weren't given enough time and the schedule with our other sites clashed. We worked until 6:30am and Dad drove us back to WA right after....that was hell.
I've somehow seriously damaged my wrist and have finally set a a doctor's appointment. I think the damage started at the Texas job and has just gotten worse. Also having serious issues with my car, so I had to ride to work with Corey yesterday, attempt rest in his truck next to a construction zone, then walk to my meeting point for work yesterday at 9. On the way, I slipped and flayed my knee open. The week has just been rough...and I seriously just want to curl up and hide for a while, but there's so much that needs to be done.
Before this hell week had commenced though, last friday we took Aron to the old school Combichrist show with us and we got to meet up with the awesome miss @rosie. That girl has awesome music taste! I have to say though...second time we've been to that venue and it's just not set up for industrial bands, like Combichrist and Psyclon Nine and the crowds they bring. It was CROWDED it was hot, it was humid but it was a damn good show! I had a blast, they chose awesome tracks and it was so fun.
This is probably my 6th time seeing Combichrist and I never get sick of them. It's been a while since I've seen Andy with so much energy on stage in a few years though. And yes....I still want to lock him in the giant birdcage.
So.....next Thursday is my birthday. I've already received a wonderful present from @portraitguytwo in the form of the portrait he did of Astrid and I in a gorgeous frame! It's already up on the wall! I'm not super thrilled about my birthday..last year was kind of a disaster...and I know Corey is working on a plan for it for me....but there's just so much stress and the whole holiday season in general. I know it's a little late notice...but if anyone feels the need or want I have this...overwhelming wishlist that I have set up. If you do look at it, make sure you change the priority view because that will show you things I'm really dying for. And a lot of it is from the universal button and clicking items will take you to a different website to purchase. Make sure you copy the shipping address that is in the notes by the items and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE not only mark it as purchased but make sure I have a way of thanking you!
well, tonight my dad is taking Corey and I to see Alice Cooper as our joint birthday present. He's pretty thrilled about it, since he missed all of his opportunities to see Alice back in the day and we're excited to share this with him!
Finishing up more packing here in the apartment, and twitching at all the noises our neighbors make. Regardless of what happens come the first of the year, we are leaving this apartment complex. We just can't handle it anymore.
Oh one last thing, if you miss seeing me naked and my sets here just aren't doing it for you, I had a new set go up on Zivity.
and I have plenty of 30 day trials to share!
Have a great weekend
