This weekend starts like every weekend of mine does (I include Friday in my weekend...)...with me dragging my ass out of bed at 2 am, getting into my Michael's uniform and trudging off to work. The crew is usually horribly grumpy in the morning, and it was made worse by the fact that the truck that we have to unload, was over an hour late, and it was a HUGE truck. We busted our asses unloading the truck and putting out all the products, but we still ended up working and hour and 40 minutes over our scheduled shift. It was a long shift of rushing around, walking, standing, bending....my ass legs and feet hurt so bad. Corey had been going to "school" to get more certifications for Audi Wednesday-Friday, so he got home quite a bit earlier than usual. I didn't get a chance to nap....just stare aimlessly at the computer for a little bit.
I also had gotten supplies from work to make some presents for the adorable and lovely Ceri, to give her when Corey and I picked her up to prepare for the Zombie walk. On our way home from getting her, I had the bright idea to see if my dear Acey was back from her trip to Orlando to see if she wanted to participate in the Zombie walk with us. Mel, Corey, Acey and I were all in our first zombie walk together, and formed the BLEEDING NIPPLE CLAN of Zombies, so we try to maintain the clan at all costs. Luckily miss Acey was back, so we gave her a bit of time to shower and what not while we took Corey's mom's car back to her, then we snatched Acey up, and Corey, Ceri, Acey and I started applying the gore to ourselves. We also got to take Ceri to my favorite little cemetery here in Kent, where John C. Monster and Baby Monster have been laid to rest.
I uploaded the majority of the zombie pictures to my Zombie album on here, but I'm gonna post my favorites in here.
The walk began at the Westlake Light Rail station and there were close to 1,000 zombies shambling down the stairs and escalators, flooding the platform, and crowding in on the "Breathers" who were trying to load into the buses and light rail trains. We had special volunteers in our group with name tags saying "Victim" who were people we were allowed to attack. We rode the rail from Westlake to the Sea Tac airport, staring with hunger at the train passengers and pedestrians that we passed. The horde got off the train and moved to the Hilton Conference center at Sea Tac, where Crypticon was being held. We had to wait in line to get hand stamps (Zombies...waiting in lines....lolwhat?), so that we could get into Crypticon for free. It was close to 9 pm by the time we got in, and the con was winding down for the day, but Corey and I still got to meet and chat with the one and only BILL MOSELEY! You may know him from Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects, you also may know him as Luigi (the part the dear RemoD66 played) in REPO! The Genetic Opera
Okay, photo dump time
A random pretty girl in the horde let Ceri shove her face into the awesome cleavage she had
BILL MOSELEY
Cthulhu should always be bloody, no?
Zombie tits in the parking garage we destroyed with our blood splatter
We went to Shari's for some late night noms (shari's always taste best late at night)
This was part of a rule on the Light Rail and I thought it fit me very well
We got home close to 3 am...and that means I had been up for over 24 hours. Corey and I peeled off our wounds, removed most of the grease paint we had used...and fell into bed, still covered in blood stains. The next morning, we woke up looking like this
The fishnets I wore caused interesting staining patterns..
Saturday, I also got a package from the dear RemoD66 who had apparently been plotting with the equally as dear JimCurt99 to send me these lovelies
They are so lovely!
Corey and his father started working on my car a bit yesterday....and they showed me this:
They told me it really wasn't worth it to do the repairs we had planned, because it would just start knocking and wouldn't last me. So we are going to return the unused parts, and call pick n pull to come get the damn thing. They'll give me $240 to come pick it up and take it away. Corey and I are going to pull the stereo out of it to sell, and now I have to start searching for a car to buy. So long Chevy Corsica...I sort of loved you.
Now I'm really desperate to get some more money. And I don't know if the offer still stands, but in chatting with JimCurt99, he said that if I could get people to purchase prints of his portraits, he would donate the money to my car cause...so you should go talk to him about that if you're interested.
I am also going to offer to make prints of photos from my sets, and from anything in my art folder, to make some more money.
Donations are also very very welcomed! (I have paypal )
I need money for:
+ a new car
+ air fare to the wedding I'm in, in Texas in October
+ bridesmaid dress for said wedding.
HALP!
in good news, I got a disc of photos from Mel from what we shot a couple weeks ago. I'm about to pop it in and check them out, and perhaps submit the set!
Love you all
XOXOXOX
