So i made it to Scotland last weekend despite the best efforts of idiots on the M60/M61 and M6 clogging up the bank holiday weekend traffic.
Weather was typically Scottish....fucking miserable, well at least it was on friday and saturday and only in Glen Etive which meant we had to travel for ages to get near a river, the Nevis as it turned out, now the Nevis would be a proper challenge for me if i was in form and in the right boat, i was neither so i sat it out and took some pictures instead.
Saturday night we went to a local boaters house ate pizza and watched paddling porn, good times, sunday was a sluggish day given the night before but the Alt a' Chaorainn was a blast as usual, the pub beckoned in the evening where i preceded to pull some Stones out of the Jukebox, only for Goyt Boy Lewin to say that it was a bit boring, then he put R.E.M, The Cranberries and Dire Fucking Straights on, talk about shit. Monday's trip on The Tummel was good, although i was paddling pretty shit, if only Scotland were closer and not 9 hours away, it would be so easier than the mammoth drive to get back to Sheffield for work on tuesday.
