Time for an update!
Goal 1: SLEEP! Went to the doctor last week and told him that my brain never shuts off when I lay down so it keeps me awake for hours at night. He prescribed me Clonzepam to help me sleep better. The drug is actually used to treat seizures and anxiety, neither of which I have, but its effect of shutting down some of the neural transmittors was supposed to help me turn off my brain to sleep. You know what... doc was right!
Goal 2: See the doctor! Obviously from reading goal 1 this was a success also. We met for about an hour during my physical and aside from the sleeping help he also ordered me onto the Atkins Diet. He said that normally he wouldnt order that but he said it would help me loose weight AND ward off the onset of diabetes. I need that help since my family has a long medical history of diabetes. So, after I learn a little more about the Atkins Diet this week... I am going to start it!
Goal 3: Get a tan! Went biking over the weekend and without knowing it was out there for 2 hours and covered six miles. Yea baby, I got some sun
Goal 4: Get in shape! See biking comment above and I am going to try to meet with the personal trainer at my loft complex tonight for some training program advice.
Goal 5: Meet people! Well, not doing so well here since I missed a great time going to Easter in the Park this weekend; however, I will be meeting up with a bunch of Flyertalk people this weekend in Fort Worth so that counts!
All-in-all I think I am doing pretty well. Taking it so and easy, baby steps, and its all coming together.
Overall goal: Look in in tight swim trunks with no shirt - Goal date: Sometime in July

And for Gina: I thought I told him I had the Mercedes? Oh well, yea, traded her in. Wanted an SUV that was still luxury but safe also. Miss you!
