The Bronze Room
a poem that shall become lyrics in the near future, inspired by mythology
The rain is gold in my dream
The walls reflect this spill of light
It's just the two of us here
But I am alone tonight
The locks & the doors all disappear
No bars on the windows, no guards on the tiers
This gilded sanctuary burns
I don't think I'm safe here
(Oh my god, what have you done?)
There is no you, just this cold noise
But in my dream, in my dream
In my dream you hold me, comfort me
I am you, but you are not me
I'm sure there must be sheets, or bowers
Soft green places, pillows of flowers
But it's just the two of us
and I don't think I'm safe here
(Oh my god, what have you done?)
In my dream the rain is gold
Maybe one day, when it's not a dream
Maybe one day I'll stop being cold
For that day I burn
(Oh my god, what have you done?)
