Mungus Recording Update
In case you, oh avid reader, hadn't gleaned this already, Mungus recorded on neither Saturday nor Sunday. The computer issue kept the studio down for most of the weekend (though Steven managed to get his rhythm guitar tracked for "Remora" when he went to pick up his gear on Sunday). We'll be getting back in the studio at the beginning of next week to finish tracking and will then begin mixing. As for the release date, I have no idea: I have to start designing the CD book (which I'll be doing with some layout assistance from Blue Sky Ink. My strength is in images while Lili excels in font justification and final product layout. I didn't want to do this whole job by myself, so I thought I'd hire her.
More regarding Mungus at the beginning of next week. To tide you over, I've posted an unedited and completely unmixed version of of one of our songs over on the Mungus Facebook Page. This song is made up of the raw tracks we recorded, sans compression and effects created in post. This is what the room heard when we recorded it (except it was MUCH louder).
As for what I did this weekend instead of recording, I shall simply quote both my Facebook status and my Amy's Facebook status from earlier today:
"Benjamin was tied down and had his head shaved. It was a VERY GOOD weekend."
"Amy clarifies, regarding the head shaving, that she was doing as she was asked. The real discipline came later."
