THE WORST DAY EVER
OK, I'm gonna walk you threw a 24 hour period of bad luck doubled up on its self. Yesterday was a SHIT day.
I had a promotions job on Sunday with the Falcons/Coke where I had to be at the Ga Dome at 7 am. I parked at a friends house around the corner planning to go visit them after work. Those friends ended up coming to see the bands at my promotion gig, and then we all went to the Falcons game together. I'm not a huge fan...but the company I was keeping was fun.
In the midst of enourmous football beer . 3 (or 4), my friends are telling the story of how the cars were being towed off their street and how it was bullshit and....wait.."OFF YOUR STREET!!!" So my car was assumed (correctly) to have been towed. A sober friend comes to get me after the game and we go to get it. Of course the owners of the other 50 cars they towed were their so I said fuck it we can do it tomorrow. We continued into the evening and I woke up feeling a little hung...but ready to go get my car.
My friend Pat drove me around yesterday morning. In Atlanta you have to go to the tow yard, then to the police station, then back to the tow yard to get it out. Never mind that you DON'T HAVE A CAR to get around. So, 85 dollars later I am at my house, with my car, changing some laundry around and zip zip..I'm off to work. IT hasn't been 2 hours since Ive had my car back and..I rear end an old lady about 3 miles from my house. IT fucking raining, shes neurotic as hell (yelling and crying), the damage to her car in minimal but youd thought it was totalled. I did what any NORMAL DECENT human would do. I got out and checked on her, making sure she wasn't hurt. Then I was checking my car for how bad it was when she starts in on me and wants me to write down my insurance info and all that.
Once in my car I call my dad while looking for a pen and such. I was feeling the need for a calm mind that has my back you know, but working on getting her the info she needed? So I get out and: My umbrella is trying to sweep me away with all the hurricane esque winds, my dad has me looking at my car, (so I have my phone crammed in my ear with my other hand), the cars are whizzing by, its fucking raining...and the old lady I hit starts in on me. "YOU NEED TO GET OFF THE PHONE..I NEED YOUR INFO" I politely gave her the "just a sec" look and finger, but after the third go around I lost my temper. YOU NEED TO SHUT THE HELL UP AND GO SIT IN YOUR CAR ..I WILL GIVE YOU THE INFO YOU ASKED AFTER I AM DONE TALKING TO MY DAD ABOUT MY CAR!"
Anyway...I apologized for yelling, but we are not friends. Not even after waiting for just shy of 4 fucking hours for the cops did she lighten up. Thats right ..4 hours. I called 911 at noon..and he showed up at 3:40. I got the following to closely ticket and went to my friends house to work on my car in the garage. Suprisingly its drivable, I'm at work right now with Yoda as we speak (Yoda in my little green tercels name). ITs not pretty with the fender smushed a little and the hood still bent, but in a few weeks he should be looking OK. I'm gonna do the work myself and go to junk yards to get the repair parts.
My back is a little sore but not messed up bad at all. I had a friend bring me dinner and gave me a long back rub working on the "rock" she said was lodged in my muscles back there. Thats my story yo.....I suppose I just need to be glad everyones ok
