I know it's been a bit quite blog wise here! But being Christmas and New Years it gets a little crazy with family and friends!
I love Christmas, anyone who knows me knows this to be so true. The decorating, the giving of gifts, the roast, the gingerbread, the movies, friends, food, family, naps, all of it!
its had a little bit of a dampener on it this time with My Grandma going into Hospital on Christmas Eve and finding out my Nan has breast cancer a week before. Theyre both still alive at the moment, but grandma is still in hospital and Nan has surgery scheduled next week.
We had our first lesbian family dinner here at my new place. We had decorated our whole apartment, I had been cleaning all day and preparing food, we had bought presents for everyone, as well as christmas cards which I made. We had a roast lamb cooking when we had 3 separate people tell us they were coming any more. I really don't understand why people do shit like that.. and then expect us to be all okay with it..
We live in a world where people believe they can just not go places, cancel last minute or just not show up and its pathetic.. unexcusable. I let my friends know just how upset I was. I'll never hide my true feelings when I'm upset for the sake of people who are shit. ever.
ANYWAY besides that very off sided rant, the night was pretty good, the food was fabulous and the drinks good. It felt nice.
We decided to open a present on Christmas Eve. I opened the present I got from the Secret Santa run through the Aussie SG community! I was sooo lucky to of gotten presents from @kyla and she did soooo well!!
Then came Christmas Day! As Christmas days go it was surreal and magical, in a little kid kinda way. I hope I never loose that.
We opened our stocking presents in bed. I woke up at 5:30am too excited to sleep! I got up and made breakfast, coffee and tea for me and my wife. Our first Christmas together as wives! yayyy!
We then opened up our presents to each other which was so surprising! It's amazing how well my partner knows me and can still surprise me after 4 Christmases together.
We got ready, packed the car and drove down to my parents place. All ready and waiting for us we put our presents under the tree and got drinks and gingerbread. I swear my Dad is like a 5 year old on Christmas, he gets worse every year! Demanding his loot straight up! haha
We gifted presents all round and was really happy with my parents gifts to me, lots of movies! And always I enjoyed them opening my gifts for them. I love giving gifts! We ate turkey, drank cider and had our traditional nap before eating dessert of more gingerbread and stick date pudding beofre driving home.
I was also lucky enough the have Boxing Day off which was really nice. we just chilled on the couch!
New Years Eve isn't really exciting for me. I don't really get the point in it. Every year its disappointing.
I had work and a UTI (urinary tract infection) that was ruining my day and I had to go to the doctor for antibiotics after my shift. By 9:30pm we were still on the couch. We decided to go out the the club Arq, we had a few caps set aside with pure MDMA and a couple with a combination of that with speed. Probably a huge mistake seeing as I was on antibiotics, I felt so unwell for a good hour into the new year. But the night ended okay, we just chatted with friends and danced a bit.
Was very happy to head home and sleep for a day with my love. I had a really good chat to my baby that night though about the new year and our goals ^_^I'm really excited to see what this year brings!
To finish this blog off Here is a few photos of collages of all the shoots and shows I did last year! I hope this year is even better!!
Hope you all had a great Christmas and a fun New Years!! Cheers to another year on SG!
