Recently there was the 2015 Australian Suicide Girls Ball and it was the first one I attended! I couldn’t afford to go last year which was sad but it totally was made up for this year!
I had a super crazy week the week of the ball!
I was in a Sydney Fringe festival burlesque show called Artisan Present Love. It was cabaret show in its truest form. We had hosts who also sang and played piano. There were other musicians, a drag king, drag queens, boylesque, burlesque, dancers, magic, fan dances, everything! And all the ends lead through the stories of love. It was the best show I think I’ve ever been apart of and it was great being back on stage! got some awesome photos from it thought!
But it sadly clashed right with the weekend of the ball which made things tricky!
We finished our last show on the Friday at 9:30 and by 10:30 me and my wife Linh were driving on our way to Melbourne! What a crazy drive! Really scary actually, the amount of wildlife on the road at that time of night. I woke up repeatedly to Linh swerving like a crazy person to get around wombats, koalas and kangaroos. I had no idea they were such a dangerous threat to us driving at that time, but hitting any of those would of ridden off our car. It was a scary drive and I can’t believe Linh did most of it herself till I demanded we swap she was loosing it!
We drove in Melbourne and made our way to @quinnh which was where we were staying for the weekend! Was super awesome getting to stay with another hopeful and not have to worry about finding a hotel or anything. We crashed on the couch in till I had to get up for a tattoo I had booked with Kitty Dearest at Black Market Tattoo. I was running on about 5-6 hours of very broken sleep at this point. Linh was struggling, she drove me to my tattoo appointment and went straight back to crash into sleep.
Really happy with my tattoo! As most of you know I recently got married to my partner of 3 years in New York and since doing so we stopped wearing our wedding bands. They are quite extravagant mine being the Even Star and hers being the Ring of Barahir from Lord of the Rings, quite bulky and my had a habit of scratching me so they sit on our bedside table. To celebrate our engagement rings and wedding I got these rings tattooed on my left arm and Im super stoked with how they turned out!
Linh was suppose to pick me up and take me to one of the shootfest houses but she was so dead asleep she wouldn’t answer my calls so I got an Uber and arrived at the amazing house they had arranged! It was so beautiful! There I meet some more hopefuls but it was a pretty chill house.
Now I can officially tick off my bucket list shooting with @kyla and it was as fun and as easy as I knew it would be! I love it when I get on really well with photographers. I really hope that isn’t our last shoot together. Will be a good excuse to get back down to Melbourne again! I shot my set in the shower/steam room of this amazing place and I did a full on shower set including washing my hair! It had been up in this curly poodle do for the past 4 days for the fringe show and needed a good scrub. I even took a pause in our shoot in condition my hair haha Also my new tattoo was being bloodyand gross AF!

I hung around for a bit, when I really should have been napping before Linh finally woke up and came and got me. We went back to get ready for the Ball! It was goth themed and Im really happy with my outfit. I had to chop the sleeves off though to accommodate for my new tattoo it was so swollen!
What excited me the most about the ball was that back in February I had asked to perform! I was breaking out my reworked Princess Bubblegum routine and I am so happy with how it went! I had worked so hard of fixing up the costume to be tease and burlesque friendly, as well as the storyline and cutting the music and everything! It went down so well and there were some great photos from it!
I also got to meet a lot of awesome people, I always miss out on being in a lot of photos because I am always dancing it out on the dance floor! Ithink my dance highlights were grinding with @vorpal to Rihanna’s Rude Boy hehe
I wasn’t the only performer either it was really great to see hopeful @sirenn perform and to see @vorpal little quiz and flirty tease!
There have seriously never been so many SG babes in the one spot and i seriously had such a great time. It felt like a big family party, like a really strong community girls Ive know for almost 2 or more years now and that just felt really special. Getting to meet girls that I’ve only seen or spoken to online and everyone was so friendly.. like we all just loved each other and it was so great. I really love the SG community here in Aus, we work really hard at being noticed here on the site and we really do support each other in the most truest way. I really love that ^_^

It was also @verde Birthday the day of the ball! How kool is that?!? Happy Birthday Girl ^_^
I seriously CANNOT wait for next years ball! I really hope I get to perform again for everyone that was the best part for me.
We left around midnight absolutely exhausted we crashed into bed and I’ve never slept so deep before. We got up to get ready, pack up and head out to the other side of Melbourne to meet up with Linh’s uncle for breakfast.
We then went in to have a drink with @miabelle it was really fabulous to catch up with her. She stayed with us over the Sydney Shootfest and she’s one of the few girls I can just talk to for days haha so I’m really glad I got to meet up with her before we went home.
We left straight after for the long drive back to Sydney. We did half each this time and I got the end half of the trip as Linh had work at 5 the next morning. We got home a little after midnight and we crashed again into bed.
I was so exhausted I didn’t get out of bed the next day. SOOO glad I had it off. I slept till 11 and when Linh got home we napped. Woke up for dinner and went back to bed. SO EXHAUSTED! But happy ^_^ really happy. I had another day of recovery before going back to work but it was all so worth it for the awesome weekend I had!
Maybe one day we’ll get the awesome people who actually run this site to come to the ball and hang out with us like @missy @lyxzen @rambo or even @sean !! how crazy would that be?!?
Really hoping the next ones in Sydney so I don't have to travel as far plus I can host some babes at my new place which has way more room! and yes obviously I have my internet back! yayyyy
