I have had an awesome weekend! shooting both Saturday and Sunday for different things, Ive got some fun photos and stories to tell, as well as letting you know a bit about me also with this weeks @bloghomework by @rambo and @missy
1. I love artistic nude ART whether is be painting, sculptures or photography. Since I was 14. It was how I got into modelling in the first place. I started shooting with artistic photographers way before I moved into SG related stuff.
Saturday I was shooting with @polarextremes and model Innocent Muse at around midday.. which wasn't specified to be 12pm so we hung out waiting for Muse for an hour haha before heading into the National Park for some fun!
Though being a warmish day we're walking through nature along side this little river stream thing and found a great little meter high waterfall area that would be great for shooting.. so we start stripping of and slowly getting into the water..
2. I am kinda scared of water where I can't see the bottom... like really scared. who knows whats going on down there?!?!
it was FREEZING cold.. like my girl bits were throbbing in pain from the cold water rushing past them.. eventually everything went numb but once you got out and had to get back in again the exact same thing! this caused for a lot of amusement though.. that and me needing to pee.. seriously girls who model on beds and couches sure thats great but you don't know creative and suffering for art till you've frosted your bits off in a river with spiders surrounding the area.. seriously.
This fun photo was seconds before Muse said "I got this" and had the first fall of the day haha shes such a silly cutie!
Other falls of the day included @polarextremes TWICE, probably karma for laughing at our pain of being soooo cold, but seriously I was pretty convinced if we didnt hurry this shoot up someone was going to fall and die! the bottom of this river was just all rocks, slippery rocks. which is why I crawled over on hands and feet laughing the whole way at the awkward angel of my butt hahaha
This little rockey logged corner of the river is where we did most of our shooting, as well as some over the very tiny waterfall but it was super fun and I know we got some awesome shots!
We ended getting dry and driving back to do some shots in @polarextremes renovated home. starting with a good hot shower and hot chocolates!!
we did a range of different stuff here like shooting in the shower together, some lingerie stuff, as well as nude on the couch. and what I love about what we got was how we didn't cross that lesbian line when you shoot with 2 girls.. I think one of the key focuses of this is to NOT make eye contact with the girl.. or you know touch, grab or kiss her.. obviously.. it makes the vibe way more tender, special and gentle... I'm not going to be able to explain but keep an eyeful watch out for when these photos start coming out! they are just so much more than what you would think you could get out of shooting 2 girls nude.
3. I will never do a lesbian ish themes nude shoot and this includes an SG Multi... WHY? you ask? I'm a lesbian.. AND in a committed relationship. Which means this is borderlines on cheating in a way that me or my partner is NOT okay with.. and thats fine ^_^ which is why when I do shoot with another girl it never crosses that line I was talking about.
4. I have shot with Innocent Muse before.. in fact the one image I have of me and her won a DD on Deviant Art last year which was pretty awesome for me.. it was actually shot the day I shot my first ever SG set and I have been trying to shoot with her again since!! finally it has happened and Im super excited for these photos! ^_^
Anywho lets move onto SUNDAY! =D
Sunday I was shooting a completely different genre of photography.. im sure you can guess?? pinup photography!!
I was shooting with another model Chelsea Kate for a hair flowers and jewelry business Daisy Jean run and owned by Missi
This was a super long day of hair and makeup in the morning.. some lunch and then travelling out to this amazingly beautiful garden! that once again had spiders everywhere..
5. my first ever shoot was actually a pinup shoot I had always known I had wanted to get into modelling, nude or pinup (too extremes I know) but I paid for my first shoot, it wasn't even at a 1950's photography place. Just a normal glamour photography studio. But I worked in the center and got discounts that made it worth it ^_^ I started my modelling portfolio from there!
ANyway this day was a lot colder and I was really feeling it.. turns out I was getting sick, as I write this now from my bed coughing and sniffling everywhere!
We shot all her major flower designs in 2 different outfits each! everything styled by the owner. She has been plans for us and her business! we are the faces of her brand for the next year, then she'll get someone new =]
6. I love the feelings of someone else doing my hair and makeup.. truly! makes me sleepy in a nice feeling kinda way... but at the same time I feel like I don't look like me sometimes.. they just do my hair or makeup soooo different from the way I do it ya know? I do however really love the way my hair is done here! so orange!!
7. the skirt and little jacket Im wearing in this photo I actually made myself! Im also half way through making a dress out of the same material.. I just like options ^_^ I also like having clothes that I know no one else in the pinup community will have.. makes my outfit more special AND I know it'll fit me properly!
8. I sometimes get really.. sad about the size of my boobs.. and photos like this don't help this. A lot of the models I admire either get fake boobs or I find out they have them and this makes me sad.. as I know I could never do it and want to love me for myself but ya know just sometimes... it would be nice..
Overall Sunday was pretty simple and easy compared to Saturday but both days were super fun! I just wish I didn't feel so sick right now >_< I was pretty exhausted by sunday night and really sore after Saturdays shoot, even if I didn't fall once!
9. I get sick a lot.. my immune system is crappy as.. I get the flu shot every year and yes I still get sick but only for a few days.. before I got the shot I use to get the flu and would be in bed for 2-3 weeks.. so this is a much better alternative even though i do still get sick.. I think this is also because I stress and worry a lot.. I do a lot of exercise and try to eat well and take vitamins to keep my body going strong.
and one more fun fact for you guys!!
10. I have a NEW SET OUT TOMORROW!! 22nd of April 3 PM (sydney, Aus time) my set A Pale Shade of Summer' shot by @pebblezink will be live in Member Review!! So happy!! so here have some sneaky sneaks I've shared on IG recently and don't forget to keep a look out! =D this was the first SG set pebblez had shot so I know we're both keen for some feedback! it was shot in the crazy fun on a little boat in Gordan's Bay in Sydney's East. I put heaps of sunscreen on this day! lol
and I hope you've enjoyed my blog ^_^
