a little homework blog time before I start pilates and cleaning the crap outta my room! how is it days off are always filled with the clenaing you cant get done other days? anyway @missy homeowork for this week is describing your first concert!
Im sad to think this story isnt that exciting but my first concert was actually a U2 concert at ANZ stadium in Sydney in November 2006.. My dad had won tickets over the radio and this was like the farewell tour or something, which got postponed due to Bonos kid being sick or something so the people he originally was going to take couldnt go anymore, so he asked if me and my sister wanted to come. We said yes and I don't know why... the only song I was into by U2 was 'Sunday Bloody Sunday'and I preferred a cover version of it. I mean I knew there songs as Dad is a big fan.
Anyway we werent big fans of our dad at this point in our lives we were 14 emo, rebellious and had serious authority issues but we went anyway. My secret girlfriend of the time was super jealous as she loved U2 and I spent a big of my concert time texting her. SADLY the warm up gig was Kayne West, I love his music now but his first album was SHIT and his performance was SHIT and I was like no... to rap/ rnb music. It now excites my soul but as I said big emo metal head at that age.
I did really enjoy the concert though just the huge size of the people and when everyone got there lighters out/ phone lights I was like wow! we're apart of something really big here! it was kinda awesome. And we were all convinced to send texts to Bonos charity Make Poverty History and we got texts back stating they were from Bono and I was like OMG I must keep this text forever!! which i did... in till I changed phones..even though before that night I couldnt of given to shits if Bono texted me lol...
I mostly remember the ride now on the train which was super delayed due to someone jumping in front of a train at a station near home.. in the end mom came and pick us up from a station and I was already waayyy asleep on the train chair, was past my bedtime lol
Maybe not as interesting as some of my other concert storys, like Paramore where my second girlfriend asked me out, or The Getaway Plan where I passed out on stage or even Soundwave 2008 where my friend broke his ribs in the Mindless Self Indulgence pit, or we meet the singer of My American Heart...or even Supafest 2012 where we got snuck into the Bling Ring right up front and had to stay there all day with no food, drink or toilet breaks and Chris Brown was stoned off his face... so many good times ^_^
Music is life people!! =D
