Hot off the press from @missy in this weeks homework blog of your best advice!
I'm sure if I sat here and thought long and hard about this blog I could come up with heaps of advice! like drink water! buy a plant! start something new, give second chances and all that shit. BUT I have one really big piece of advice which actually might be easier to do that you think but I say it a lot, especially to my partner and I've been saying it to myself for years. and here it is...
Let yourself be sad. Its okay to be sad.
Too many people feel sad and beat themselves up because society is shoving this happy lifestyle in our faces, like do this, that and this and you'll be a happier person and sunshine will come out your ass.. WRONG no matter how great or ungreat your life it, no matter how happy you are with your work, relationship, friends or family sometimes you get sad.. especially as a woman i find myself getting particularly sad at different time of the year or month for that matter... But other times too, sometimes I cry for no reason or I just hide from the world under my blankets and maybe eat too much junk food in a massive binge and you know what guys?
THATS TOTALLY OKAY!!
It's your body telling you to take some time for yourself or to focus on something specific or just to remind you that your human. Feeling sad lets you know you've got something to loose, to makes those happier moments feel sweeter, its just a part of life. And there's too much media shit out there telling you that if your sad something is wrong with you, like you need medication or your not doing life right, you need help because you get sad. WRONG AGAIN
It just okay to be sad, I cant make it any clearer than that. Don't shove your sad away, let it flow through you naturally in till you just feel better again. Don't get me wrong I know in some cases this isn't true, I had a clinically depressed sister for most of my teenage years but that's when I really learnt this advice..
Just try it sometime.. see how it goes? don't beat yourself up for being human! =]
