OKay so in my first video blog I mentioned some weird and quirky stuff in my room and Ive had a few people ask me to share more so this is like a picture/describe blog of parts of my room! hope you enjoy!
For starters, My Tetris Lamp! mentioned in the blog. they only light up when they are stacked together, so the bottom blue one it the power source and just touching the rest together they light up! gives a nice soft glow =]
This is the shelf above my desk, this is where I store all my travelling souvenirs! so the mini years are from Euro Disney, the painting from Venice Italy, the pink car is from a Rock n Roll Market here in sydney. The mirror is from the Palace of Versailles in Paris, the money bos telephone box is from London, the vintage milk glass i actually got for Christmas. The reindeer has my name on it and its from the all year Christmas Store in Stratford upon avon in England =]
This is the other side of the shelf! The painting on the wall is from Paris which I bought with my twin sister 2 years ago. the photo stand my parents bought me from FiJi and the photos are of me and my partner as kids =] The clogs are from Holland, the mask if from Venice, The tribal man is from New Zealand, the totem pole is from Canada, the shot glass is from Central Zoo in New York and the liberty status is from New York also! =D I love random travel junk
These are the books stored on my desk and the stuff I keep on top! The plate my twin sister Emily decorated for me with quotes from Steve the monkey from the move Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, which is our favorite! As well as a photobooth print of me and my partner in Paris France.
And a bunch of Wall-e stuff which is actually from my exgirlfriend.. But I still love them!
This is like a quarter of my CD collection. I love buying CDs I hate downloading my music, my biggest fear is that one day they will stop selling CDS! Then I guess my collection will become like an old record collection? I just love the bonus stuff you get from buying CDS
I love my bed! The anchor covers and mustache pillow covers are from the site Modcloth and I splurged to get them when me and my partner moved in together. The teddy is the one I showed you guys in the vlog and the elephant is my partners, she loves elephants =] Ive had those lanterns for years and they dont actually work anymore I jsut like how they match the bed sheets.
We have a long dresser at the end of our bed that we keep stuff too! Like my partners book colletion mostly made up of Harry Potter books. So I put the 2 wands me bought from the making of Harry Potter in London near them. We have Harry's and Snapes wand ^_^ The beetle cars are mine and are really old I love how vintage they are. We use alcohol bottles as books stands we have Absolute Vodka, Sailor Jerry Rum and Patron.
This starwars leggo is my partners. Our housemates gave it to her for Christmas and we didnt see her the whole day as she finished building it. The bobblehead Yoda however is mine =] My partner gave it to me the first Christmas we spent together ^_^
The other end of the shelf is where we keep our plants! The cactus is named Harry and the Bamboo is Abu. there were two sticks of bamboo but one died when we went overseas. The owl is frmo Wellington in New Zealand, the elephant is from Germany I think. The photobook is a massive book I put togetehr for my partner when she got back from the states. And the fuzzy rabbit at the back we bought because we loved the feeling of it and wanted to stroke it when we got high together haha
