Good evening SGland!
@missy @penny
I am writing this on the evening before my next set hits Member review, but I am not here to talk about that right now!
What I am here to talk about is how another freaking longtime hopeful finally turned pink! Ahhhh yay!!!!!
I was scrolling through Instagram and came across a post that the lovely @melei finally turned pink with her latest set (go over to her page and give it a gander and congratulate her!).
Melei has been a hopeful since 2014 and when I look at hopefuls who have been on here for awhile finally see their name go from a purple to a pink color (and that title change from "Hopeful" to "SG"), I go a little crazy. I have said this time and again and I can't say it enough.....I feel like I have gone through the same journey with them and to see them finally turn pink...I feel like I am celebrating with them.
These women have stuck it out and kept going...and I'm sure at least at one point they may have almost thought about leaving. However, being on here and modeling is more than just turning pink and saying you are a Suicidegirl. It's the people we meet and network with....it's about going places we have never been to and meeting those people and maybe shooting a set with them...it's about talking and sharing what our common interests are...it's about creating new friendships and making lasting friendships and for many, it's about finding our confidence within ourselves and being comfortable with how we look and loving ourselves.
These women didn't let things get them down when set after set went up and didn't get picked. If anything, they kept going making sets until one finally made it....and had some fun and learned new things in the process I'm sure! I admire these women who continued on and many who still continue on (yes, there are still many who are hopefuls longer than 2014!). So again, congrats to all the ladies who turn pink for sure, but my heart gives an extra congrats to my longtime hopefuls <3 <3 Congrats again Melei Suicide! <3 <3
