Hello SG!
I hope all the moms on here had a wonderful Mother’s Day yesterday! I actually didn’t spend the day relaxing too much. Why? Well, I have been super excited for the self shot contest here on SG! I have my 5th set coming up around August, so I was thinking it may be too soon between sets, but I was like what the hey, let’s do it! It should still be plenty of time between the two 😊. I am hoping I can get it done in time tho as I am still at work and having a crazy life at home.
I want things to be just perfect and I spent most of the day yesterday prepping the area and making sure things look great... so that included painting a table (it needed it anyways and was on my list of projects haha) and power washing the patio outside (it needed a good cleaning too). I have a few final touches that I need to do but those can be tomorrow morning. I am hoping to shoot the set Wednesday... I’m so excited! I have been learning how to operate the camera and different settings and it’s been a learning process for sure. Here is a practice shot from today (excuse how I look, I did this this morning while still in my pajamas so this is not how I will look in the set lol).
So not my best look but a nice practice shot to say the least!
so let’s get to the other exciting news.... my first set, Who You Gonna Call?, finally hit 1300 likes! Yay!! I take every moment a set hits a milestone like that to heart. I really appreciate any and all support from you all. It may not be Set of the Day material (although I always hold out hope), but to me, seeing the numbers continue to go up, even after being in member review for almost 2 years now, means a lot.
I hope that after this pandemic ends, I’ll be able to shoot again with some photographers I would love to work with (including those I have already worked with!). My only problem is who do I work with first? There is so much talent on here behind the lens and it’s hard to pick a photographer and say, I’ll work with that one. Cost, time and availability all play a factor at some point. Either way, I can’t wait to see which photographer I’ll work with next (maybe even again!) and hopefully I’ll be able to meet more SGs and SG Hopefuls when it happens!
Continue to stay safe loves and stay tuned for some new sets!
