Today i saw the finger of Gawd flicking the world on. Kick starting the great universal switch from off to on, if you will.
I was riding shotgun. My friends were silent. One of them was driving; the other... was holding it in. He really needed to go take a massive dump. Who would've known a night of dice, beers, energy drinks, sausages and tater tots would lead to such a bowel dilemma for him. Maybe when Nikola farted on his face while he slept on the couch: that should've been my cue.
As we drove down the road, skirting the colossal testimonial to our new acquired consumerism, i mentioned i liked the colors of the dawn. As he drove Niko said he had said just that a few minutes ago. I remember him saying it. I also remember me not having any sort of reaction to his words.
We drove on.
There was a cloud. It looked like a forearm, a hand -fingers closed- and an extended digit. Gawd's hand turning the world on.
Visual poetry, i guess. It's not everyday you get to see behind the curtain and observe the wizard turn the knobs, monitor the dials and pull the levers while he operates the interlocking and ever shifting machinery we know as life.
I enjoyed the view. I enjoyed it so much... i had to brag about it. Because i saw it, and you didn't.
We drove on.
I moved on.
Time has gone by.
Butterflies died.
I am glad i've not lost my sense of bewilderment. If you have, i pity you... for you now lead an empty and aimless life.
Arnold said: "Get to tha choppah! Nyargh!" I feel like that sometimes. Nyargh.
Es mas... right now? The humbling and relaxing sound of the waves is lulling me to sleep. Lulling me to sleep while this wonderful morning is going on. And that is all i got on my head right now: "Nyargh".
Today i would like to hang out with Kristen Bell and talk about comics, about how much i liked her in Fanboys... maybe even eat a doughnut... and then just be silent but enjoy the silence.
I know that is not gonna happen, but then again i saw Gawd turn on the world today.
