Back from Hawaii. It was fucking great. To paraphrase Ferris Bueller; if you have the means I highly recommend going...hell, go even if you don't have the means. Look on Travelzoo and Cheapflight etc. and you can get over there and have a great time for a reasonably low price.

yep, it's seriously messed up. The TdF officials and the UCI want to send a strong message; the frikin day before and based on allegations. They say there is evidence but aren't saying what.

that's all well and good that they're cleaning up the peloton, but is this really the way to do it? They are alienating the fans far more than doping riders are. The fans know the riders dope, and that it's a level playing field at the top, so what's the problem that the race needs to be shot to shit the night before?

It's crazy. and depressing. It was gonna be a great race, but now...it'll be the best of the has-beens and the amateurs.
