Avec Wings

The winner of the 'stache master contest goes to the "Fly Away" design.

There were some great submissions from a handful of people and I really appreciate all the work that you all did on behalf of the competition. It was a seriously tough choice between the much-loved, crowd-favored duckierose's "Fish" design and the "Fly Away" design. I finally chose the wings design based on it's more subtle look. This was necessary for maintaining a somewhat professional look at work.



Instead of delaying any longer, I grabbed my Gillette Sensor Excel and went to work. I truly liked the design that was proposed but during the actual shaving process found that some changes would work better with my actual facial structure and facial hair. So I did my best to maintain the look and feel of it while implementing something that was easier to shave and possibly more complimentary to the palate.



It took me about an hour from start to finish with a lot of drawing with eye-liner pencil across my face. I was pleased with the final product and think that it came out well for a first implementation of the design.
