Life the Universe and Everything....
Before I start I know the answer is forty-two, and the question just might be "How many roads must a man walk down".
But this is my life in a nut shell for the past week.
I came to the conclusion that were I live it costs too much to live (Keep in mind I make decent money), they raised my rent for the 4th time in four years, they try to raise it 9% each year, but i have been talking them down to 6% (There is no rent control in Daly City Ca). So my rent has gone from 1070 when I moved in, to now it's 1305 a month. For a one bedroom apt!!!!! I have looked for other apartments either closer to work (with less transportation costs) or further away with lower rent but higher cost of transportation. But nothing comes close to where I am not with out going down to a studio (which I broke down and looked at on Tuesday). And looking at the studios I came tot he conclusion that Tanya and I would not be able to down grade from a one bedroom to studio... We are too settled an the money being saved would not be worth have less then half the space we have now, and the savings would not be very much $100 a month maybe a lil more but the trade off is just too much.
So what do you do when the cost of living is too much? Well I got a small raise but not enough to off set the difference. So I was job hunting at the same time. And one of the jobs leads looks like it will pay off. I had an interview with a company called Forever Forests today. And they want me to come back tomorrow to sit in with one of their people to get a feel for what the job actually is. The job is fun raising and canvasing via the phone. In other words its telemarketing but for a good cause, and there are no cold calls. I think I have this job in the bag.
So what this means if my day will now be get up around 7:30 leave the house 7:45/7:50 get to my first job from 830am-5pm, and then hoof it up the street catch the Bart for two stops get out and walk two quick blocks to the second job from 530-930. Which means I would be getting home roughly at 1015 or so. This will be Monday -Friday. But I will be able to keep my weekends open.... or I can take a night off during the week and work Sunday.
So this is my goal Monday: Two Jobs, Tuesday: Two jobs, Wednesday: (Either Job #1 and then D&D) or two jobs, Thursday: Two Jobs, Friday: Two Jobs, SaturdayFF!!!!! Sunday: D&D or work job #2.
So my life is gonna be completely crazy for the near future. I don't know when I am gonna be online, regularly. So this is my warning if I am not active online as often. I am not gone, please send me messages I will need them!
So this me saying "A Big Hello to all intelligent lifeforms everywhere and to everyone else out there, the secret is to bang the rocks together guys!"
