Thank you amaris for reminding me
so last week I went into the city and met Jackie again (she was the girl whom I met at the Mac store [edit:] who didn't work there, she was a customer like me). usually I never go to these things, someone would invite me, and I'll be like "sure" and never show up, I'm sorry procrastanation is a way of life, but this time I went. I though since it was gonna be at CBGB's she was gonna be in some punky band that sounds little too much like this and little too much like that, but she was amazing.
she songs her funny, and great, and between the songs she was funny as hell. I must say that I was truly impressed, cause it could've turned into one of those days where it could've sucked, but it was really awesome. all of her family and friends were there and I got introduced to some of them by her. I asked that I had to get her number before this night was over, and she agreed. The set lasted for about 45mins to a hour, she did so well that the coordnator for the sessions was like go on, do as many as you like.
after the show, I went up to her, she was swarmed with friends and family members, but I managed to seek in, she said " pretty far out huh" I hugged and kissed her, and said "she was amazing", but I couldn't ask for her number. She was in her zone, and she did a really good job, and she was living life. she had said during the show that this was her best day, and I wasn't going to personal ruin it but interrupting her to ask for a fuckin phone number. after I said she was amazing it was as if that was the only thing I could have said to her, cause she got swarmed once again. I could've sat there and waiting for another chance, but why? ya know. this was her moment.
I walked outta the club and went home. I'll prolly never see her again, but that doesn't matter in a way. I'm glad I got the chance to meet her much less hear her music. all of these things kind of flooded my head when I decided on leaving, like what if? and I envision us together, and she including a private joke, or a moment we had in some song of hers, but that obviously never happened
I had a train to catch...
