Hate \Hate\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. Hated; p. pr. & pr. & vb. n. Hating.] [OE. haten, hatien, AS. hatian; akin to OS. hatan, hat?n to be hostile to, D. haten to hate, OHG. hazz?n, hazz?n, G. hassen, Icel. & Sw. hata, Dan. hade, Goth. hatan, hatian. ???. Cf. Hate, n., Heinous.] 1. To have a great aversion to, with a strong desire that evil should befall the person toward whom the feeling is directed; to dislike intensely; to detest; as, to hate ones enemies; to hate hypocrisy.
Well, that is hate. But is the real answer to go around mercilessly slaughtering everyone you hate, or even say, lead them all like cattle into a shower where they will be gassed then burnt? Maybe it is, but is it cruel enough? Any justified hate comes from recognition of a creatures defect and usually the 'hater' is directly affected by these defects. Like a roommate who doesnt clean up enough, and the filth resulting causes the 'hater' to contract unpleasant diseases from bad meat and moldy socks, someone who speaks quietly to you on purpose because he knows you are mostly deaf and cant hear a word he is saying, or being just generally obnoxious and disgusting. Now, these personal defects, which are causing the 'hatee' to be hated, if valid, should also cause this 'hatee' to live a rather miserable and uncomfortable life. So wouldnt it be a much more cruel fate to allow such a creature to go on living with these nasty deformities rather than put it/him/her out of whatever misery they might be in. This also brings to mind the belief in afterlife, if a heavenly utopia awaits them why bother sending them there more speedily, why not attempt to keep them alive longer thus preventing them from reaching 'everlasting peace'. But one could argue there is no such thing as utopia and by killing them they are being exiled to a very dull boring place where the populous wear pastel colors, walk fluffy mammals and water potted plants. But that is neither here nor there, as it is not proven. So, the only valid reason for extermination of a 'hatee' is if they somehow prevent the hater from living a full satisfying life. Now this would simply be done to remove them from the 'hater's path, which can be accomplished with lots of tape and a stasis chamber, thus keeping the 'hatee' alive forever and tied up with nothing to do. This will of course cause them to resort to insanity to keep themselves occupied so a robotic counselor can be built as to talk them through any bouts of insanity thus restoring them to their sane, bored state. While the hater can go on to live a happy full life, with the knowledge that everything that could be preventing him from doing this is tied up in a bunker receiving therapy. That is until he dies and spends an eternity in boredom, forced to wear pastels, walk small furry mammals, water potted plants and listen to televangelists
