i live at the end of a five and half minute hallway-poe
i am currently living on a ship called the pride of aloha in the middle of the south pacific galavanting around the hawaiian islands with a set of passengers in the average age range of 50-70 years old. please god. help me. i was clearing plates in the buffet dining room on board and asked someone "can i get this out of the way for you, sir?" and he looked at me, at his empty plate and replied, "may you." i smiled as hard as i could. "may i get this out of the way for you, sir?" and his response? "yes. you may get that out of the way."
that is just one moment in my generally ten hour days where often my thoughts go between trying to stay positive and upbeat and thinking about how i can change my outlook to stay happy while onboard this big metal box/ my fucking kick-ass wonderful boyfriend who i have lovingly dubbed "babyhands"/ and how i want to throw spaghetti allover someone just once and have it seem like a total accident
its 10:20 am in the morning here in hawaii, i have to go get ready for my shift.
sg hopeful, signing off.
