Most people that follow me on here are also friends with me on Facebook. So I'm just going to rehash my thoughts concerns and rants on here just in case
The past week has been a trying time for everyone nationwide and everyone wants something to be done. But most people could care less what is done as long as something is done, looking for that instant gratification. And that's just how the anti gun politicians like it. They get you all fired up with their hysterical nonsense and false truths they spit out all over the media. I believe that there is only one truth.
The country as we have known it is over. The freedoms enjoyed by generations are over. There is a mob mentality that demonizes all gun owners as the problem. Take a step back and look at the broader picture. There are people out there that wish to control people and this is just the first step in doing so. Stripping the citizens of their second amendment rights is just the gateway into stripping them of all their other rights. This has nothing to do about safety. This has everything to do with people control. The government is there for the people and by the people. But the people are sheep and have let the wolf take over the flock. Your rights were given to you by people who faced the same tyranny many years ago. Do not let your freedoms go away without a fight. Wake the fuck up. I am an individual and there is no reason for government to question my wants and needs. I am a free person in pursuit of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And I have the right to defend that. If you don't believe in any of that, then just stand back and watch what happens as government stomps all over your rights and freedoms. Welcome to the new America. No longer the home of the free and the brave.

When George W Bush got re elected a friend of mine moved to New Zealand saying that he couldn't live any longer in a country that would vote for that guy twice. I thought it was a bit extreme at the time, but now I look back and the only thing I wonder is why I didn't leave sooner.
Most of the changes have been due to 9-11. But very few of the things that have changed have made us safer. It's the illusion of safety that has us blinded.
Take Penn Station in NYC for example. It is now patrolled by National Guardsmen carrying assault weapons. In all honesty can you say that they would be useful against a suicide bomber? Can you really use a machine gun in a crowded train station? To me it makes no sense whatsoever.
I don't think it's necessary to over react to every situation. I think that the gun culture of the US has some blame for sure, but there needs to be solutions across the board. What they are I have no idea. And I think a lot of people looking for answers don't have a clue either. And so you get knee jerk reactions and more losses of freedoms.
