mad bummer alert:

the herbie hancock gig i'd been looking soooooooo forward to sucked ass...herbie phoned it in, the band was barely awake, and the repertoire was lame-o-rama...people were walking out halfway through...i would've bailed, too, but my +1 said, "we can't walk out on herbie hancock...it's herbie hancock!"...

here's the thing: he's playing again next week, this time with dave holland and jack dejohnette...i have tix for that, too...it'd better not suck, or, well, somebody's gonna hear about it...
