Anyone else use a fitness app to track diet, exercise, etc.? I've been using MyFitnessPal and it has really helped me stay focused.
I was weighing in at 212-214 lbs during the holidays. Shed a few on our trip to Paris and London thanks to all the walking we did and wanted to keep the momentum going. So I started looking for an app to help count calories- not just in my head where everything is calorie free...:-)
Caloric intake has been the initial need but now I'm focused on reducing sodium, sugar, cholesterol and the protein/fat/carb mix. My cholesterol needs to come down- I don't want to go on statins.
The app is def helping. Now that I am in the habit I log everything I eat and every bit of exercise (walking etc). I weighed in Saturday morning at 194.6. If I can get down to 180-185 I'll be back to college era weight... now wouldn't that be something!
