No power since Friday nite around 10:00 when the storm ripped thru DC and surrounding brubs, breaking trees like toothpicks with 80mph gusts. WashPost says over a million w/o power. PEPCO's performance and reputation has been so bad the past few years, this only will make it worse.
So...no A/C and temps in the high 90s during the day. Could be a few more days for power to be restored. Fortunately our place is fairly shaded, but...we are losing our biggest shade tree...50+ y.o. red maple finally succumbed to one more storm in its life. The good news is the cable system in the crown did its job and kept it off the house.

Some crazy ass weather afoot right now. Only going to get worse, I fear.
Glad to hear, however, that you and family are safe and well (though rather sweaty, I'm sure).
Take care, my friend.
