So I had to go to the bank again today. More overdraft fun. You have to love banks though, no really. I'm serious. The new ones, and even the older ones now, carpet, slogans and posters over the walls, adverts for bank accounts that you already have or you wouldn't be there, small print on the pull/push lables for the doors. But hey, at least they got rid of meetings with the bank manager, and even the tellers are now cash machines just inside the door. Be gone with the days of actually being able to talk to a real human being. well, you CAN, it's just a month and a half waiting list.
What happened to the days of marble flooring, high ceilings and pillars to show just how opulent the bank was, to give you some feeling that the money you're handing over is actually going to do something and not just go to replacing the Lino flooring 5 years after it should've been? God bless that 2mm thick carpeting:it really makes you feel like you can trust the banks, doesn't it?
