August 2005
DO YOU KNOW? In August, find sagittarius in the sky near the southern horizon. You are looking into the center of the Milky Way.
Friday 5 - New Moon
Sunday 7 - Water, water, water
Thursday 11 - Harvest tomatoes
Monday 15 - Get a haircut, hippy
Friday 19 - Full Moon
Saturday 20 - Deadhead roses
Tuesday 23 - Make relishes and pickles
Friday 26 - Reseed bare patches in lawn
Wednesday 31 - Last day for wearing shorts
Tonight I gave my dog Hank a bath. There's a bunch of sticky tar junk in his hair that I could not get out. And my hair clippers are broke. At least he smells better. His friend Rocko the pit bull came over and played with him today for a few hours.
The guy that taught me to tattoo is coming up from Texas next week for a few days. He's thinking of moving to Portland. That's pretty cool, really. He might work at my shop or another shop across town. He's just ready to get out of Texas and I can't blame him. It's just stupid hot there. Hopefully it won't be too hot here when he visits. It's supposed to be around 100 tomorrow. Crap it's going to suck at work...
Now I need to go grocery shopping. Having set chores to do on my days off are both a comfort and a curse. Sometimes I'd rather just drive off somewhere and look at trees or the ocean.
