I'm a lucky lucky little boy. I just returned from visiting my brother in Phuket Thailand Xmas eve. our original plan was to be there for a week longer but plane tix were too expensive. My brother and his family are fine (he was still in bangkok after droping us off at the airport) The family hotel on potong beach is a mess but still standing.
