Wow, what a contrast to 6 hours ago, when it sounded like a war going on outside.
I'm having a moment of culinary creativitiy (at least for me). I marinated chicken breast for 8 hours in Italian salad dressing and grilled them. Instead of making the usual chicken sandwhich (toasted wheat bread with mayo/mustard/lettuce/tomato), I'm contemplating a baked marinara sandwhich. Marinara sauce on Italian bread with mozzarella and parmesan cheese sandwhiching the chicken. Then I'll bake it for 5-10 mins at 425. Belissimo? Maybe a little pepperoni or ham to go with it?
When I retire (or get downsized), I was planning on raising chickens again. But instead of creating an army of loyal birds that will help me achieve world domination, maybe I'll just open a little lunch shack out in the boonies.
