Polar Express - Santa Hat - On the Road
Polar Express
We did the annual family trip on the Polar Express given by the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad every year. One of those things very much for the kids. As an adult, it is better during those sorts of things to focus on the kids and NOT on the extreme hokiness of it all. Arranging stuff like this is Laura's forte - even though I know she's right, kids-wise, I would never do it and even if I wanted to you can only get tickets via their "lottery" if you send in on more or less the first day possible for an acceptable postmark; which means I'd never manage to get tickets as I'd forget until about a month too late.
We get tickets every year. I guess that makes us annual lottery winners?
So here they are, on the train and suited up for the trip to the North Pole:
And yes, they get snacks. Max loves some chocolate chip cookies.
And there are songs. Lots of songs. Lots and lots and lots and lots of songs.
Hmm, looking at the above pic I realize that even cute girly girls related to me can make dancing look like an act of violence. I love my family.
Santa Hat
And yeah, in case you were wondering, Ms. Trip Organizer makes sure there are hats for EVERYONE.
Ho fucking ho.
On the Road
So I'll be on the road for most of next week. I was supposed to fly out tomorrow but I flunked my follow up chest x-ray Friday so I gotta see a man about some antibiotics (Infectious Disease guy). I am apologizing now over the fact that not only am I days behind on keeping up with folks, but I am about to fall even behind-er.

I'm pretty sure my parents wouldn't approve of SG, so that's something I have to keep a secret. I'm enjoying the good food...I still don't have a lock on my door because they never bothered to put one in (a little girl lived in my room before) but they respect my privacy and knock.
