So it's the day after the wedding. My old roommate got married. My friend Ryan, BetteJean, and I drove up to the Chicago area on Friday for the rehearsal. Ryan and I were both ushers on the bride's side. I was really worried that I was going to get upset when I saw Alex, my old ex and the maid of honor, but I didn't. I was pretty indifferent actually. She's gained some weight, and her boyfriend who she cheated on me with is a fat fuck, so I felt kinda good about myself even though I didn't have a date.
Ryan and I went to go see Paranormal Activity after the rehearsal dinner, and it was pretty fucking creepy. I wouldn't go so far as to say "scary," but there were many times where I had goosebumps. I would totally recommend going to see it if it's at a theater near you.
The day of the wedding was kind of funny. Ryan, BetteJean, and I all shared a room, and we had about an hour to kill between check out and the wedding. So we decided to go to Best Buy, since there isn't one near where we live. It was kind of humorous to see us all dressed up walking around the place. The wedding itself was actually REALLY boring. It was a Catholic wedding, with mass and all. The church was HUGE though and really fancy, and it made me feel even more disgusted with religion. All the money it took to make that church could have easily been used for better purposes.
We had even more time to kill between the wedding and reception, so we all went out to get ice cream with our friend Fish and his date. He brought his ex-girlfriend, but insists they are not going out again. Ryan already knew her, but I thought she was pretty awesome and really fun to be around. Fish is reluctant to date her again because she's the "safe bet" and is looking for something more exciting. But we all ended up going to Boarders and buying a bunch of bargain books...and I got the new Brom book! The reception was ok. Our table kind of sucked because it was right next to the bar, so everyone was crowded around it and it was difficult to talk to everyone at the table. The food was good, the cake was terrible, and the music was even worse. Since it was an open bar, the drinks were weak as hell, and it took me forever to even get a buzz. But we ended up leaving shortly after dinner since Ryan and BetteJean had family obligations the next morning. Overall it was pretty good...not the best wedding I've ever been to, but not the worst either.

DUDE!
New word: fruition.<3
My vocabulary really needs an expansion.
Funny thing...I actually have a pretty engagement ring just sitting around. If I can't find someone worthy enough, or crazy enough, to marry me...I'll send it your way. That way you can have your pretty ring without all the fuss.
Pretty enough for ya?
