I kept meaning to post a question on the LOTR thread, the drawback to me being in bed while its still early for you guys is that everyone beat me to it with questions, bah I'll think of one yet. You're probably right on Mallory, Tolkein liked the Heroic saga's and a lot of L'Morte D'Arthur fitted in with that. The amount of mythology he fitted into Middle Earth is amazing. Spotting the links to Norse, Celt, Saxon, Finnish and other cultures can be fun, its hard to miss things on one read but on another it'll leap out of the page at you. Its a good thread, gotta try and keep it going, cheers for starting it!
