Hi Land!
When I was live streaming here, many of you said that they'd liked it if I started sharing some recipes of my favourite Italian food. I've got a lot of free time right now, so let's start!
One thing that I truly love is pasta, I'd have it at every meal, in any way. So why not starting with a Sicilian recipe from my Sicilian mom?
Spaghetti with raw tomato sauce
It's perfect for hot summer days and for when you don't really have time for cooking!
First of all, choose the right pasta: check the nutritional values and choose one that has at least 14% of protein. The shape is up to your taste, I personally love spaghetti.
Usually pasta takes around 10 minutes in boiling salted water to cook, don't put pasta in cold water or anything else, stick to the rules.
While pasta is boiling, take some tomatoes, a bit of fresh garlic, some red chilly pepper, some basil or oregano at your taste, some extra virgin olive oil, a pinch of salt.
If you like to, peel your tomatoes, chop them in thick pieces and pass them through a food mill, chop or squeeze the garlic and add it to the raw sauce, add salt to taste, fresh or dried oregano or fresh basil, the chili to taste, some evo oil. The sauce is ready!
Now pasta should be ready too, just add it to the sauce and serve.
If you're not vegan, you can add some grated parmesan cheese on top. Or any other kind of cheese such as pecorino, ricotta salata, Grana Padano...
Enjoy!
@rambo @missy @lemon hope you'll like this meal too ❤️
