Hi folks!!
This week @rambo, @missy and @lyxzen asked us about our ultimate "last supper" meal, forgetting that some of us are Italian or Spanish... Ahhh, big mistake, you are going to read A LOT today! xD
So, first of all you should know that I love cooking and, of course, eating. I think you all can see it from my pics... xD
Last time I had some friends for dinner I made some "pansoti in salsa di noci", which is typical Genoese fresh pasta stuffed with vegetables and ricotta cheese, dressed with a sauce made with walnuts, pine nuts, olive oil, parmesan cheese and a bit of old bread drenched in milk.
I made it from the beginning, I bought the flour, the eggs, the bread, etc etc etc... I also went to collect the nettles for the stuffing!
I can say that they were ugly (I didn't know how to make them in the traditional "half moon" shape! Now I know that I had only to cut the pasta with a round glass... xD ) but very very good... *-*
This was only the first plate, after it I made some "parmigiana di melanzane", you may know that as "eggplant parmigiana".
We were 4 people, and one of us is a very big and hungry guy, but the food was too much even for him... xD
I started from the beginning even for the parmigiana, I bought the aubergines, fried them, made the tomato sauce from the tomato puree and than made all the layers: aubergines, tomato sauce, ham, bread crumbs, olive oil, aubergines, etc etc etc...
At first I was wondering if I had to buy some cold cuts and cheese as a starter, I was afraid it could not be enough! xD
So, I bought some ice cream as dessert, and it's still in my freezer, nobody could eat nothing more that evening... Hahaha!! I was ROLLING!
In my family, for Christmas, my mom is used to make some appetizer of cold cuts, cheese, olives, etc etc... After that she gives us some "ravioli al ragù" that she made. That's an Italian fresh pasta stuffed with meat and some vegetables, dressed with a tomato sauce with minced meat.
In these last years, she stopped making something else and we get "only" the dessert after it: the traditional "pandolce genovese" and every other Christmas dessert.
But, in past, my mom used to make also a second main dish, that could have been some roasted chicken, or rabbit in casserole or boiled meat... Of course after that came the desserts!
Well, now I'm getting hungry and I could make some spaghetti with tomato sauce to myself... It's 2 p.m. here! Lunchtime! U_U
Hope you'll like reading this! I leave you with this pic to remember you that my first set Modern Valkyria will hit the MR in only ONE MONTH!! I'm so excited!!!
Have a nice day, darlings!!
A big hug,
Brunhild
