Well News update from me.
Monday 20th a Cat 5 Cyclone hit the coast near (relatively close to) the town where I live. I suppose that we were lucky as the storms continued inland missing us, but in the downside they devistated a town called Innisvale (sorry rather tired spelling is worse than normal).
As a result my work has send our choppers up to provide medical relief and supplies to people injured or affected by the storm. It's long and hard work, and the damage to the area is extensive. To make things better there is another Cyclone forming of the coast as well.
Just to put things in perspective Cyclone Katrina that hit in America was a Cat 4. Though most of the damage done there was from flooding.
Please spare a thought for these people, small donations (through aid agencies) might help. Thank to you all.

and hugs for you and yours about the hurricane... I lived through andrew, a cat 5... those things are not fun or pretty... amazing.. but not fun
(and new orleans was the only place that flooded... the area closer to the eye of the strom was just demolished entirely.)
