If I haven't mentioned it before,, I really like coffee. I haven't earned the honorific of Coffee Geek but it is something I enjoy alot. This can be seen in my impliments of brew.
(Yes that is a device that turns a Nalgene bottle into a travel coffee press.)
The workhorse in all of this is my Stanley thermos. It's seventeen years old and my dad has one that's over thirty. It holds eight cups and if prepped right can keep coffee hot for two days. They still make these and you simply can't go wrong. If you're daring you can even put tea in it.
I know, I know. What could I possibly be thinking. Well, I've always enjoyed having something hot to drink. I live in the AZ desert and even in the hottest of summer I start my day with hot coffee. If I want something cold and creamy to drink I'll go around the corner to Sonic and get a malt. But sometimes later in the day I'd like something hot to drink but I don't want to be wired to the gills. Decaff just seems wrong so I tried drinking hot tea.
It started with Earl Grey, which I suppose was my gateway tea then it moved to Chai. I would start referring to myself as a "Hot drink guy" now but that just isn't as sexy as "coffee guy."
So I'm exploring new things, taking risks. I'm thinking of picking up one of those tea infusers.
Look out world.

I've had green tea but not the flavored types. Perhaps I should give it a try?
