i'm moving to philly bishes! in one week!

naturally, all my nyc buddies wait until my last 2 weeks here to tell my aloof ass that they wished we hung out more. why didn't you geniuses call me when i was spending my weekends in bed with a graphic novel? too late now...

i'm falling in love and i think it's unfair. just as soon as i can call myself happy and relatively well adjusted it always sneaks up.

when i was wallowing in all my alone & crying myself to sleep, where were you love? when i was outcast & downtrodden?

now that i've lifted myself from the mire & can be found dancing in the sun...

Hey, could be a good thing. If you're in love when you're content and happy and not cry-y, you're more in a position to take charge of your relationship on your terms.

curioustomcat:

It can be truly problematic on the receiving end as well. While the smitten part is excused by the circumventing the mind, the object of adoration may be crushed between responsibility and temptation... wink

thought of the day:

taken out of context, everything stinks.

example:
hot dog smell at barbecue = "yum!"
hot dog smell in girl friend's car = "wtf?? dude roll down a window!"

also, nothing can smell good in a bathroom. nothing.

primrose:

Smells out of context are especially peculiar. I mean, there are so many places you wouldn't want to find the new car smell.

lizaeth:

Hey you! Haven't heard from you or seen you around in a while. How ya doin?

I named me Zarth. My parents named something I'm happier forgetting.

Guessing is not a fun game for me. I hated my birth name. It has abusive associations.

tuesday i laid in bed recuperating. i went out to see, of all stupid things, a knicks game. with the damned flu.

also i was called a tramp. which amused me because who uses such terms for hobo nowadays (who even says hobo). also because i seem to have harassed my grandmother for so long that she is running out of witty negative things to...

zarth:

Awesome.

I use the word hobo.

ardour:

My mother uses old terms like that, except she's British which makes things more confusing. Also, she uses terms that were outdated before she was even born, which I've never understood. I remember after using the bathroom once, and then being asked if I had "pulled the chain". I was horrified. Firstly, because what the fuck does that mean, and secondly (when I realized what she meant) of course I did.[i/]

No, really, sometimes I feel like going to a sports game just for the food. I don't think it's the food so much as the actual act of going to a game and having a frank or whatever. So good. I love flirting with cliche.

As for school in the US, I can barely afford to go to school up here, much less the US. Which is
kind of a shame, as I do enjoy a number of US cities. I'm thinking there might be a good program in Toronto or something... I don't know. The idea and process involved in moving oneself to somewhere totally new is a little mind boggling. I've moved places before, but I've always either had help moving there, or knew someone where I was going. Usually both.

My main interest in clothing construction is making things for myself. At least I think. I never have actually made anything for myself, so I don't really know yet.

Anyway, it was nice to get a comment on my journal entry. Take care!
