I don't know why I'm writing this...
The novelty of 'blogging' long ago wore off, but for some reason I feel compelled to do this at least once a month. I came to the conclusion earlier tonight that walking around in the cold, listening to Africa by Toto when you're lonely is a bad idea...meh, probably wont stop me from doing it again next time. And so, one week remains before my hell is unleashed. Come February 5th, the candidacy exam will be upon me. I can't wait for the 27th around 6pm when it will all be over...as it stands, the plan is to consume gratuitous quantities of alcohol immediately following said exam, but I'm not sure that I wont need to go home and just crash from the mental exhaustion. In better news, I now own Star Trek The Next Generation in its entirety on dvd. We've taken to weekly meetings at which gratuitous quantities of Star Trek are consumed in chronological order. I'd compare it to sex in terms of the shear glee that the experience bestows upon my, but frankly my experience with sex was not nearly as awesome as the adventures of the crew of the Enterprise-D...sadly, I am not joking. Last Thursday I actually turned down sex to go watch TNG with Ryan, Grant and Kyrst. Got my floor seats to 'Heaven and Hell' (ie: the REAL Black Sabbath...though I'm sure Sharon Osbourne technically owns the name). Heard rumors Motorhead may be opening...that would be a pleasant surprise...I was unimpressed by Megadeth last time I saw them, and they are the opening act as of now according to the interweb. Drove 130 km for Harvey's last night. Saw some wolves. Good times.

I somehow cannot agree with you in saying that Star Trek: the next generation is of higher quality then some really great, down and dirty sex...
