Hello blog, it's been a while...
Guess I might as well update this ol' blog seeing as it hasn't been done in ages, and all that's been up for the last month is the tale of my virginity's near-demise. Besides, I'm currently in the process of seeking out excuses to use this lovely little laptop that Santa found fit to give me for Christmas
I love this little thing...it's so fast compared to my old desktop pc...I can actually look at suicide girl pics without crashing mycomputer now! Allthough I'm not sure when it happened but Rexa seems to have taken down my favorite picture of her
Such a shame...some people should simply not be clothed
So this new laptop has all sorts of fun toys...dvd burner etc...not to mention a built-in webcam (whose potential for mischief is great )
In important developments, the paper is DONE! The last 2 weeks were reasonably hellish (I ws working 75-80 hours per week in the office, typing away...). But now it's done, and has resulted in yet another A (takes a bow). I'm supposed to meet with T.Baum. in the new year to discuss minor revisions before we submit it for publication...I just hope he doesn't want me to make them all...I need to start studying for my candidacy exam (oral exam scheduled for February 27th). My list of topics that I'm responsible to know basically includes every chem course that I've ever taken...and I'm expected to understand them at a PhD level...Guess I should be studying not 'blogging'...meh.
Checked out G'n R with Chris...he fell asleep before the end (Axl's set went until 2:30 in the morning). I must admit to having mixed feelings about the show...it was very quiet...they could have done with more amplification...Chris and I could comfortably lean over and talk to one another without raising our voices. But the musicianship was excellent, and surprisingly, Axl's voice is still amazing...If I had to have picked one singer from that era who time would not be kind to, it might have been Mr. Rose, but it seems as though he dodged that bullet...also, the set list...he played more songs of "Chinese Democracy" than he did off both the Use Your Illusions albums. One thing I didn't have mixed feelings about...Suicide Girls burlesque show opening
a) those girls are so hot
b) they put on a great performance...I heart flaming hula hoops...
Another thing I don't have mixed feelings about: Twisted Sisters' new Christmas album...freakin' brilliant.
Check it out: A Very Twisted Christmas
In other news, I'm officially a nerd...got bored the other day, and made a myspace page...mostly to be able to have even more ways to get in touch with my Manitoban ladyfriend...
We talked yesterday about me heading out to visit her as early as tommorow, but I must admit that I'm starting to have second thoughts...it's an awfully long drive to do by yourself, and I'm not sure that going there strictly to meet her is a good idea...should things not click in person, it'll have been a total bust, and I will have spent my entire vacation away from friends and family, and have to come back right away to start studying for my candidacy...I suppose I should talk about it with her...I hope she wont be too badly hurt if I don't make it out
Grrr...why do all the really cute awesome girls have to be in Winnipeg...perhaps, I should be focusing a little more on girls that are here?...
Well, the rant appears to have flat-lined so I'll call it a day...but before I do... Rexa, come back to SG...we miss you
Merry Christmas!

I'm still alive. Don't worry. Just busy, I guess. I do have lots of breaks at school, though, so perhaps if you need a break from that terrible studying thing and I'm not in the gym (HA! like that hobby will last), you could hang out with me while I chain-smoke and bitch about everything.
*Love you*
