So I'm not sure how things are going with Rayanne...After the 1st date, I think we were both pretty stoked, and we ended up talking to each other every night, but didn't get a chance to go out again for 10 days because of silly things like midterms and work. And then when we did go out again, it wasn't the same...I just didn't feel the same spark. I walked her home, hoping it was nothing a little goodnight kiss couldn't solve, but she wouldn't let me walk her farther than Brentwood station because it was out of my way, and when we went to say goodnight, I didn't get the vibe that she was interested in kissing, so I backed down (shit, I'm bad at first moves...). She went to Thunder bay this weekend for a wedding, and the few times she's popped up on msn to say "hi", it just hasn't been the same...Oh well, maybe I'll give it a break for a while and then call her when I get back from Winnipeg next week.
Went out with Lannie. Had a good time, but I don't think I'd go for a 2nd date...turns out it's a moot point...she went on a big long rant about how she's not ready to date (it's only been 7 months since her ex dumped her...). So ladies, if you're not ready to date, stay off of the dating section on lavalife.
Anyone remember Allie? I had completely written her off, when out of the blue she starts chatting me up on msn last week. Things were going really well, and I was about to ask if she wanted to go out again, when she pulls:
"I guess I should probably tell you, I started seeing someone"...Story of Matt's life. She still wanted to be friends, but I've seen that movie too many times...it usually ends up with me getting pretty hurt. However, I decided to say "hi" last night when I saw her pop onto msn, and turns out she and him didn't make it past the 2 week mark, and she just thought that I wasn't interested. Well, suffice to say that I'm interested enough that we're going out on Thursday
Somebody from the intimate section of lava also got in touch with me. We ended up having quite a chat...The idea's certainly exciting, but I guess only time will tell if that moves beyond the cyber stage.
Caught Borat on opening night last week. JAGSHEMESH! Check it out, it's frickin' fantastic. Watched the CFL games yesterday...I hope Gord eats his tears for strength...mwahaha, welcome to "next year country" yet again Riders! It's actually too bad, Winnipeg would have been much more fun this weekend if Saskatchewan had been there, but now I guess I'm a Lions fan...
Leaving for the 'peg at 4am on Friday morning...toying with the idea of stopping in Swift Current and seeing if I can get my hands on a PS3 (the stores should just be opening by the time we roll in...). I'd love to get one, but fear that my productivity would drop SHARPLY...maybe it's best to wait until after I've finished writing this damned review paper for Eur. J. Inorg. Chem....Speaking of which, I should be getting into work...grad students don't get stat holidays...at least not when they have reviews to write.
